(Clockwise from top): Tigi Bed Head Glamma Bronzer, Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara,
A couple of days ago Lola asked me what make-up I use. I never really discuss my make-up habits on here because my habits are pretty minimal, and have probably been about the same for a few years. I admit that I was originally drawn to the Urban Decay mascara because of the packaging (and, ok, the name), but I really like it! Cheap mascara always made my lashes break off, but the Urban Decay actually seems to condition them and maybe even make them a little longer. The rest of my routine is pretty basic, I don't usually wear bronzer, but I like the glow it adds during the winter months when my freckles have faded and I'm looking peeked.
Next week I'll discuss hair products!
What are your go-to products?

Thank you :) Love the look of that mascara! I wonder if it's available in Australia...
I am totally surprised that some people use Big Fatty. I can't stand it but maybe it is just me. I am of course a makeup junkie and I have even managed to make a career out of it. :) My favorite mascara is bareMinerals Lash Definition. I don't think I would have ever bought it to try it but that is where my job comes in. I got it from work and now I am addicted!
If you ever want to try something, let me know! Maybe I can send it to you to try!
I use Urban Decay and Two Faced for all my eye shadow needs with the occasional MAC purchase. Eye liners I buy cheap and expensive, just what ever colors strike my fancy. For mascara I love Lash Blast (the fat orange tube.) For all my base, concealer and lipstick needs I stick to Neutrogena products. I used to buy tons of cheap makeup but I have been slowly replacing everything with better quality materials. Much fewer break outs now.
i have to use foundation because my skin tone is uneven - i'm rotating different brands because havent found a favorite! i have a newfound love for lorac's neutralizer though! it's a good primer for foundation!
I'm a mineral powder junky, foundation and blush. I find my skin is so sensitive that any liquid foundations really dry my face out, even with good creams. my eyes are always basic, black eyeliner, smugged. (sometimes when I'm fancy a pop of purple shadow, it's good for green eyes)and some purplish mascara.
What I have found to make the most difference when it comes to make up is the face wash. Nivea Visage Gentle Cleansing Cream Wash i find is really good, especially with the Aveeno daily moisturizing cream.

yes! the easter dress is from anthro! i got it on super sale when i went to chicago over spring break! :D it just seemed so perfect for the occasion!
Lakme kohl or liquid liner(depending on how I want my eyes to look, I am a kohl junkie!), covergirl mascara, bella pierre mineral foundation and lip balm. I always go for the fresh minimal look, just like you do. :)
I like that your make up routine is pretty simple and you don't have a suitcase full of products! :O Thanks for sharing this. I'm always curious what products people use because I'm pretty clueless when it comes to make up... very basic. :)
I like simple make-up routines as well..I use YSL touche eclat everyday, and sometimes tinted moisturiser and eyeliner.

Good choices! I never leave the house without a quick dab of 'Boing' by Benefit, best thing ever.

I tend to just mix things up. :) I do like Maybelline Define a Lash mascara.

I keep it minimal too, I've been using the same products for what seems like forever. I didn't even realize Bed Head made makeup. I actually don't even buy mascara, but instead just use the free Clinique stuff they give in the free gifts! Also, Stila Cherry Lip Stain is a muuuuust, it never comes off and it keeps my lips from looking like they belong to a corpse. ;)
The Bed Head makeup is ok, but i probably will buy a different brand when i run out. I got it from Chris's mom who owns a salon.
the stila lip stuff sounds good!
Makeup forever HD Invisible concealer is well worth the price. And Armani luminous silk foundation is also worth the price. Lancome Definicils mascara is awesome but Covergirl Lashblast is a great alternative.
bareMinerals is my go-to for great, natural coverage (and the warmth all over face color is awesome for a spring and summer glow). Add a dab of Revlon creme shadow in skinlights, Tarte 4 day lash stain, and Stila lip glaze and I'm good to go :-)
I used to love that Urban Decay mascara. Badgal Lash by Benefit was also equally amazing.
Oh it's so interesting to read about everyone elses' makeup habits. Thanks for sharing!
Everything Urban Decay - I love their pencils and eye shadow palettes and that they label which of their products are vegan. I also, when I have to do stuff that requires being photographed or filmed for work wear lipstick from Kat Von D's sephora line. It's incredibly red and really pops. Usually I just wear rosesbud salve on my lips.
I've been having trouble finding a liquid liner that lasts all day (but I'm ultra cheap when it comes to make up, so that's not too surprising). Does the Loreal Paris liquid liner have pretty good staying power?
i was a big fan of maybelline's lash discovery because i have close-to-invisible lashes..but not that they've phased it out, i use their 'unstoppable' mascara...i also use revlon colorstay mousse foundation because it stays long and i don't like to re-touch..hehehe.
♥ vanilla ice cream ♥
Oddly, I am a makeup addict but I have a pretty minimal routine. I keep things simple, but I get bored so I like to change it up.
I use MAC eyeshadows. I think the pigments and colors are the absolute. I do tend to pick up the occasional Rimmel piece here and there - mainly liners and I do love the cheapie mascara. For some reason they seem to do the trick! I love gloss and the look of lipstick but I'm so addicted to my chapstick that I rarely put on lipstick!!
great post! can't wait to see the hair products you use...because your hair is ALWAYS amazing! i'm starting to grow mine out and am always looking for product recommendations. i've always seen that urban decay mascara at sephora but have never actually tried it. maybe i will now, since you have said several good things about it! :) thanks for sharing your ideas.

p.s,
my go-to makeup product will always be bare minerals! :)
I was surprised to see that you like Big Fatty - I got a sample and I didn't even finish it. It didn't seem to add much volume/length for me, and flaked off into my eyes a lot. I was sad too, because I love the packaging!
Thanks for the concealer recommendation, though - I'm always looking for a good one, and I do love my Neutrogena sheer tints foundation.
Minimal make-up is the best!
I use the Extra Volume Collagene macara by L'Oreal and am very pleased with the results :)

I pretty much only wear mascara. Some bronzer when I go out.
teach me your liquid eyeliner ways!
As someone who loathes most traditional foundations, the best make-up purchase I ever made was Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer with SPF.
I also use Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer, a little bit of Smashbox translucent powder, then sweep on some Urban Decay Baked Bronzer (yes, the packaging is absurdly clever—comes in a tiny pie tin).
Surprisingly, the new Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (that's a mouthful) is better than the Stila smudge pot I gave up on.
*that's Lorac translucent powder, not Smashbox.
I can't wait for the hair product post! And hopefully a new hair tutorial too!
