Cigarettes, Wedding Bands

Shawl: Vintage Diane von Furstenburg via thrift ($8)
Jeggings (ugh): J.Crew sale ($20)
Flats: Urban Outfitters ($28)
Bracelet c/o ModCloth
Glasses: Urban Outfitters ($4 old)
I hate not getting my posts up in the morning. Technically this IS going up in the morning, but it was meant for yesterday. I woke up late, hustled to the train station, and then waited for the train...which was 45 minutes late. Frustrating!

Anyways, it was SO COLD yesterday morning, looking at these photos- which were taken Sunday afternoon- I can't believe I'm only wearing a shawl! This vintage DVF shawl has lovingly been dubbed the "Fashion Snuggie" in my house, I tend to wear it more around the house like a robe, than in outfits, but I thought it looked nice on a lazy sunday with jeggings (hate that word) and a relaxed tank. This tank from Threadless reminds me of Maine, there's a mural in downtown Portland near the ferry terminal of some whales that I've always loved. Someday I'll move back north, I miss living there!
I wish I had more to say today...Are you excited for the weekend?!
Happy Thursday!

I agree with you on the word 'jeggings.' I always call them jean leggings when I'm asking sales people about them and quickly get correct every single time. Haha

I am loving this fashion snuggie. It looks SO warm and cuddly.

Ha! I love the term "fashion snuggie!" Those pants look fabulous on you, I love the cropped length!

I love this outfit, you look very sleek and chic even with the oversized shawl - which is gorgeous by the way.

Gotta love that commuter rail. The so-called 7:25 am train is never actually on time. I've been trying to miss it on purpose all week, and it's always arriving as I get to the station.

that shawl/snuggie/jacket of cozy goodness looks so fabulous. i need me one of those. i am perpetually cold in the winter and i am always on the lookout for something more portable than a blanket to curl up with on the sofa. oh how i wish it wasn't vintage! surely i can find something similar. that is going on my thrift list. you look great and your hair is gorgeous :)

LOVE your shawl/fashion snuggie! I can just imagine myself wearing it all snuggled up by a fire place reading with a hot tea. Can't believe you found it for only $8!!

Love the "Fashion Snuggie" :) I love the proportion play going on in this outfit - so chic!!

I just end up calling them jeans instead of jeggings :)

I LOVE your shawl! I'm also with you on the hatred for the word "jeggings." I just bought a pair of corduroy leggings yesterday and I was thinking, "Did I just buy jeggings? What can I call these instead?!" My other least favorite fashion-associated word? "Booties." Ugh.

Anyway, diatribe aside, you look wonderful. I love your whole outfit.

I don't usually comment on posts, but WOW.. I have rarely been so in love with a piece of clothing as I am with your shawl/cardi. I want that exact piece SO badly. If only it wasn't thrifted, haha.

Ahhh! Don't degrade the fabulousness of your cape by calling it a fashion snuggie. This is coming from someone who received a snuggie last Christmas from an uncle's girlfriend. Obviously, she didn't know me that well. Also, your hair has never looked better!

I've said this before, but I LOVE your hair! It's beautiful! You've made me decide to grow mine back out! I was curious how you get those big, soft waves?? So pretty!

Bahaha, fashion snuggie! I love it. Also love the song in your title! Band of Horses is so great.

Fashionnn Snuggiieeee oh yeahhh!

I agree with you on the word jeggings, but jeggings - you are oh so good to me. I hate how jeans cut into my stomach and jeggings are so nice and elasticy. I kind of sound like a grandma.

what a wonderful find on the shawl.

I have a handknit sweater I bought at a thrift 20 years ago--that I wear in a similar way.

$* for that shawl? That's a bloody steal. You look so warm and cozy in that thing. It makes me want to take a nap, but in a good way. :)

that fashion snuggie is riduclously amazing. I have clothes like that, some capes and sweaters that I wear around the house with my silk pajama bottoms. Sometimes I think I look so good in my mishmash of chillaxin' clothes that I am tempted to wear them out! (pajamas included!).

Oh, and I adore this photo location, btw. SO COOL. The blue and the red is just amazing.

heart: Kimberellie

ps. you are so right about jeggings. stupidest word ever.

Haha, that shawl/coat/"fashion snuggie" is GREAT. It looks so comfy and wonderful! Great for a fall day.
P.s.- The hairstyle that you wore in the previous outfit post and made a tutorial about, inspired me to wear my hair just like that yesterday!
