I have a feeling I'll be wearing this outfit a lot this summer, I love it! I wore this briefly on Sunday, and even though it was for a short period of time, it was long enough to make an impression as incredibly comfortable. I love how long skirts feel blowing against your legs! I bought the skirt last week when Chris and I were in the city, and I'm very pleased. it was pricier than what I usually spend, but I love it. Plus, after this i'm trying really hard to not buy anything new for the rest of the summer (I love summer clothes a little too much). the necklace was a purchase from a few months ago, it's weird to me because the daisies are so cute, but they're carved out of bone, two ideas that don't go together to me. My bag is a birthday gift from Chris from back in January. And these shoes I've actually been wearing non-stop, I love them! So far they're my favorite summer sandal, super comfortable and they go with everything, i would definitely recommend them.
So thank you SO much to everyone who left such encouraging comments on yesterday's post about my new job! My first day went great, and I'm anxious to put plans in motion. I'm also so excited to be able to spend a little more time reading and commenting on everyone's blogs, i feel like I've been so out of touch! if you asked a question yesterday, I'll definitely get to answering tomorrow!

Darling outfit, Julie :) I die for that necklace, but I understand what you're saying about the bone. A bit creepy, but something I'd get over, too. I just LOVE your top knots! Noone does them like you :)

That sky high bun is reeee-donkulous! Wowza.
And not sure how I feel about ombre for hair color....is it intentional, or time to touch up those roots?

I'm a huge fan of wearing my hair in a big bun like this - I have so much hair it's nice to get it up and away from my face sometimes!
That Madewell skirt is so gorgeous, lady.
I love this Madewell skirt and I had actually thought about getting it myself. Now I'll have to go take another look since it looks so cute on you...
I love that skirt! it has been on my madewell wishlist for awhile and I just might buy it considering it's on sale (and there's an additional 25% off sale promotion going on). it looks great on you.
i really like when you post up-dos. chic!
what are you thinking of doing with your hair for the wedding (up, down, braids, waves, flowers, fascinator, etc.)? an assortment of hair options would make for a good wedding wednesdays!
Love love love your skirt! and what an adorable idea to tie your blouse in front, you made such a great summer look! Congrats on your new job too, that sounds amazing!!
I definitely agree with you; life is too short to dread going to work every morning. But, at the same time it really is tough to find something you love. I've been having trouble with this myself lately so it's always encouraging to know I'm not the only one. thanks for sharing : )
