I was so excited to open up the ModCloth blog today and see...me! They had a great little blurb about the ever popular Ordinary Happy Moments Dress by Dear Creatures. Dresses are a summer staple of mine and many other girls, but unfortunately dresses are often accused as being "cop-outs": you throw one on and you're done, no thought needed. I disagree, I think the three images above are the perfect example that with the right accessories, one dress can go a long way. Don't you love how Rhiannon accessorized with her sling? And I love Jennifer's cute black hat. I love dresses that incorporate a variety of colors such as this, the more colors in the dress, the more color options you have to accessorize with!

I've been eyeing this dress for some time! And I love how you paired it with those shoes! Dresses are also my favorite summer clothing!
I really love that dress and I completely agree that even though a dress is one piece, it needs the perfect accessories to make it look like it is effortless, and of course you pulled that off perfectly in these shots!

It's amazing how you all three gave it such a different vibe. It looks beautiful on you.
NO WAY! how exciting! love the dress on you!
Congrats on the feature :) It's such a cute dress, love how you've all worn it!
I never think dresses are a cop-out. I think it's about choosing the right dresses, finding dresses for a price and quality and shape and so on that works for you, and that style isn't always about accessorizing. Style is, at the end of the day, about looking good and comfortable. Which you all do (well, poor Rhiannon probably wasn't that comfortable, but anyway).
Congrats! THe dress looks great and has a great silhouette.
Congrats! Dresses are so not a cop out. I love them! They are some of my most versatile wardrobe pieces.

I feel like when I wear a dress (which is almost every day in the summer), I try to be extra thoughtful in accessorizing so it doesn't feel anything like a cop out. So exciting that you're featured on the ModCloth blog!
